After 4 poems...I decided to write in phrase this time, rather than in rhyme! The topic is nothing to be speculated about, or to make guesses about...it's simply an expression of certain things that play in my mind and about my current mental state!
They say that it's divine to loved, even more austere to be loved and most importantly, simply heaven-like to be in love! HARD and HEAVY words, I must say. But more than being a common notion, these lines mean something in my own life! Its been quite sometime since I'm rediscovering certain aspects within myself, which earlier I had thought to be inexistent! Simply speaking...I have a feeling! Its a feeling to be cherished, to be proud of, to be enjoyed and most importantly, it's something that is to be respected! What's that feeling? Well....this is a public forum....so no direct answers!
Other than all these, there is something that has been bothering me! It is the effect of "mixed-feelings"! I mean, most of the time, when our minds and hearts clash against one another, we do something which we repent upon later! On the personal front, I have experienced this too many a times and finally (ultimately, phew :D), I have come to a conclusion that though my feeling matters a lot to me, the one and only thing I should look out for is not to execute it at all times....but to propagate it by varies mean! Frankly speaking, some things are not meant to be enjoyed but rather are meant to be shared! Believe me, its true!
Whenever I see certain things occurring in the opposite direction to me expectations...I get weird feelings! But hey, if I see that the person involved is happy and is enjoying, I stay back and watch her smile. My mind tells me to take control...but my heart prompts me to just watch the smile and be happy. Strange, but yes! This is the way! Whenever I see that there is a chance of someone else stepping easily into my shoes, I get nervous, anxious and sometimes egoistic! But that's momentary! I just look at the mental calmness and serenity of the person involved and watch her happiness, which in turn makes me smile! Strange, but yes! It is true...
All I'm trying to say is that feelings are to be shared and cherished, not meant to be hidden and shy away from! If you have something going on in your heart...speak it aloud! Let everyone know! So, what if it doesn't turn out the way it should have....at least there's some purity in your feeling, rt? Just enjoy and lets things move as they are.

There In Lies My Dream!
To be able to charm myriad friends as well as foes,
On the murky road towards El-Dorado.
To be able to bring on their faces, a gentle smile,
Devoid of anguish or thoughts that are vile.
To be able to accomplish my goal with dignity,
Trying to upgrade my modesty and sanctity, simultaneously.
To those quite erratic and bigoted, strange it may seem,
But there in lies my dream!
To be of immense help to those with gratitude,
Whilst solacing myself with chastity and attitude,
To serve back with complete ardor and generosity,
Trying to pep-up all without any kind of calumny.
To be able to live and let live, non-parsimoniously,
Trying to establish my very own dune, in the vast desert of history.
Some may applaud, others may beam,
But to be true, there in lies my dream!
To acquire curio tastes and tang,
To be able to kick off anything, with a louder then ever bang!
To be able to maintain standards, that leaves others agape,
Yet try to remain simple, plain at heart: in perfect shape!
To be able to move with the times ahead and near,
Yet to be involved with the past, without any shame or fear.
All in all, I would like to say,
That whatever be my action, thought or sway,
To be a true human being, who with honor, will teem,
There in lies my true dream!!!
On the murky road towards El-Dorado.
To be able to bring on their faces, a gentle smile,
Devoid of anguish or thoughts that are vile.
To be able to accomplish my goal with dignity,
Trying to upgrade my modesty and sanctity, simultaneously.

I'm Not Afar...
(This is ode to my mom....remembering the days and the time when I was away from her)
Gazing up at the star-lit sky & journeying down the memory lane,
I feel your presence everywhere, right from the frosty winds, to the sun and rain,
Thinking that you are away…
I go a bit nervous, I must say,
But let me tell you mom, that though there maybe a distance bar,
From you, I was never afar…
The shackles of daily life, as you may know…
Frequently takes me to my physical low,
The vanity of people around me,
Often makes me sarcastic about everyone, as you may see,
But let me tell you mom that this is the fact,
Remembering the values you taught me, I try to stay intact.
The eerie nights which I spend awake,
Be it for my commitments, or for my academic’s sake,
The calmness and the night so lone…
Makes me remind myself about our duels and my harsh tone,
But let me tell you mom that when I look back,
I always see myself wrong, my mind in the ignorant sack,
But I assure you that you have always been kind and true…
So I have to admit, if there’s someone for me always, it has to be only YOU!
So, mom, all in all…
Your love for me has been always been tall.
I know that your affection is beyond bounds, without mar…
Though I may be away….but I’m not afar!

Dear Friend...
This is just to let you know,
That there is someone, somewhere in this world; definitely not a foe.
A being to pat your back in times of cheers
And also to wipe away, in times of anguish, your tears.
A person on whom you can, blindfolded, rely,
With whom you can share your dark shades, no need to feel shy,
This is just to let you know that whatever be the stance, joy or despair,
I will always be there!
Times will come when we may, away from each other, sway,
But let me inform you that prejudice and eschew will never grow, come what may.
Times will come when we may, in our thoughts and actions, differ,
But respect and benevolence amongst us will never suffer.
Times will also come when we may, each other, taunt and rag,
But believe me; never will deportment come when fun turns into shag!
This is just to let you know that whatever be our stance, meant to give, take or share,
I will always be there!
Strange it may seem that someone, in despondency, will care,
But I would take palliative measures for you, only to be fair.
Strange it may seem that someone, during festered times, will stand by,
My friend, agape you will be to learn that I will; with a fillip touch without a sigh!
Strange it may seem that someone, with misanthropes, can act so graciously,
Well, gregarious I am then, magnanimous as well, but I will try and reach you deep within, non-apprehensively.
This to let you know that whatever be your stance, showing attitude or care,
I will always be there!
So dear friend, to conclude,
May I suggest we move on beyond our petty feuds?
Towards a world, more disparate, congeal and fair,
Don’t jitter, come hold my hand and commence, because I will always be there,
Without any vituperation and fear, enter my lambent friendship lair,
Just remember, come what may, for you I will always be there!
That there is someone, somewhere in this world; definitely not a foe.

A Journey Worth Taking!!!
I am writing this one for you,
Because I want you to know that you are among the ones very few,
Who have put to light, a definition of friendship quite anew!
With a formal start,
To an intimacy as sweet as a tart,
We steadied forward a level so pure,
That it will just prosper from here, never degrade, that’s for sure!
So with this, I must let you know, to be honest, without jesting,
That a few moments of amity in life with you, is truly a journey worth taking!
There were times when I had something to say,
And you, like a patient being, were all ears,
There were times when anxiety loomed and I was at bay,
And you, like an honest pal, used to wipe it out with a smear.
There were times when I felt deserted, without a way,
You always comforted and guided me, making me fight my fears.
There were times when I had argued irrationally, without a chance for you to say,
But you always prevented me from swaying, like a true dear!
We have, in our friendship, seen it all,
Be it the ups…or the relenting downfalls.
But I just want you to know, to be honest, without jesting,
These moments of amity in life with you, is truly a journey worth taking!
Together we’ll laugh, together we’ll cry,
Together we’ll succeed, together we’ll try,
Together we’ll reap, together we’ll sow,
Together we’ll celebrate, together we’ll comfort when either one is low,
Dear friend, this is to let you know…
That our friendship will never end, it will steadily grow.
Whatever be our stance, meant to give, take, or share,
Be it caring or tough, be it of joy or despair,
Come what may, I will always be there!
And to be honest, without jesting,

Ich Liebe Dich!
The first and the foremost thing that will come into one's mind upon reading the title is that "What the hell does it mean?". Well, I won't blame them, but its just that I want to exercise certain German linguistic skills, which I have recently acquired. Literally, the line means : I LOVE YOU in German. The line is not at all uncommon in our lives. I mean, every person has used this some or the other time in their youth (or even old age :D). Some might have used it once, twice, others might also have practiced saying it quite a number of times. But hey, I am not indulging into discussing a particular person's love life (neither am I doing so for mine), but I am intending to do so on a general basis.
I LOVE YOU! The line can mean practically anything. By dictionary terms, it connects to expression of affection to somebody who holds a special place in our hearts! But in modern days, this line has lost its true inner meaning. I mean don't you think so? Whenever we feel like saying this to somebody, that somebody has to be a girl/boy who we expect to be our love-relation-partner! But can't we say this to our parents? Can't we say it to our sibling? Or even our teachers? Of course we can! We even do so! But one question: can't we say this to our (opposite sex) friend??? Here lies the whole confusion!
We all have certain emotions attached with our friends! We meet "n" number of people, but we become close with a few. Even out of that, we become true friends with a special few. But if that friend is an opposite sex being, and you are already engaged to someone...and well...u utter this line for that friend (under certain circumstances)....u can guess what's in store for you! I won't blame anyone, but isn't it worth a thought that we ought to change our views regarding this matter. If I, being a boy, say the line to a girl, who's a very close friend of mine, does it mean that I am proposing her? I believe friendship emanates from small instances and verbal quotes like this! If you mean that he/she is truly a lovable friend, why do we have to re-phrase the line as "I love you....as a friend" ??? We can, definitely! But say a friend has done something for you, which was out of expectation, self-less mannered and aimed solely for your happiness and if we say this line, why is it that at first the words seem a bit shocking?
The topic is quite controversial (socially, but don't you think that we, being in a society as yours, where later on...owing to time paucity, we may not even have a chance of meeting and spending quality time with old buddies, these certain things live on in your minds for us to cherish? We this is definitely so! As far as relationships are concerned, I thinks lovers understand each other too well to react on petty issues like this (I hope this line is agreeable to all).
So, after almost 4 paragraphs, one may think why the heck is the title in German then? There's no German in this entire blog! Well, guys, my blog...so its my way! And most importantly, I do not know German so much so to write an entire blog in that language, I mean c'on...am still learning yaar! :D. But on a serious note, I just want to convey one thing from this piece of writing! If you criously feel for a friend (not that kind of feeling ;) ), say it! What's the harm? Believe me, that friend will be proud that he/she has someone so caring as a friend! If you really consider a person to be one of your closest alibi, just say it! There's a guarantee that there will be no confusion! One one thing will prevail in the aftermath.....rather not prevail, but will enhance...and that is the essence which we all cherish in our lives : Friendship and Care. Or in other words : Freundschaft und Pflege (in German)!! :D :P ;)

Do I "EXPECT" Something? Yes!!!
Okay, let me clear the air first and foremost. The topic is not at all related to love relations and that sort. Infact, its on another aspect of friendship...a very elementary yet a pretty much disclaimed aspect : EXPECTATIONS!
Expectations...the very first sound of this word rings a hypocritical bell in our minds which, though aware of the existence of the silliest of all expectations we keep from others, tells us not to admit it. Why? Well, this is where the irony lies. In order to keep up with the present generation-friendship, the dialogue "I don't expect anything from my friends!" is quite verbal regaring almost everybody. Why we do it? The answer varies from person to person, but the overall conception is that we behave as if we are complete self-centred and that nothing in this entire world can affect us! I wish this was true, but I guess it is not.
Friendship is a feeling that is to be enjoyed, shared and lived. There are times in our lives when we meet somebody with whom the intimacy clicks on from the very moment. This phenomenon can even take time, but at the end, it all boils down to one universal law - True friendship is like gold. If pure, it will glitter. If its an imitation, it rusts away! But here, I am not highlighting the friendship definition aspect, but solely certain feelings, rather side-effects, associated!
True friends care, console, confront, respect and at the very same time hurt the most. But have you ever given it a thought that is we are "supposed" to be so naive and self-centered, how can anybody even affect us to a scratch? Strange, but this is where the existence of "Expectations" get proved! We often hear that one must never keep expectations in order to stay happy always. Theoretically, its possible to the extremity. But practically, at the Human level, this is not at all possible. I mean, think it for a second guys. What good a friend is if you cannot claim certain things regarding that person? I am not talking about traits and characteristics but simply certain actions which is obvious in a relation like this. I mean imagine, you have a close friend. But you do not expect anything from him/her, regarding any matter! Strange, isn't it?
People claiming non-expectancy behaviour may claim so under certain circumstances. But deep down, everybody knows what they want. This is where the entire irony lies! People forget that this is not a give-n-take scheme but simple a mutual understanding where things do happen on accord, but certain aspects are understood! We all maybe aware of the prior part, but it is the latter we overlook. In our entire lifetime, we meet a hell lotta people. But out of them, a handful get picked as close, caring and faithful friends. If we even cannot fulfill their tiniest of all expectancies, what's of use of claiming such a friendship?
The entire reason for writing this blog was that I needed to express myself. I feel that this topic is quite closely associated with my own life, in certain aspects, but hey, no hard grudges. Its just a mode of expression (I mean c'on, we are the citizens of the largest democracy). You may agree, or disagree with my perception (comments always welcome), but I thought that this thing is mainly responsible for fall-out between friends, which is quite bad. All I have to say is that be honest to your friend. If you cannot fulfill an expectation, say it. If you have certain expectation, admit it! The closeness simply gets aggravated, and not embarrassment. Believe me, try it! It helps a lot (personal experience you see :D)

Its Time We Claim Some RESPECT!!!
Okay...my first blog of the year and I didn't wanted it to be with a negative topic, but it's seriously high time. High time we claimed respect for what we really are and mean to the world!
You all are aware of the recent...well wait! It's not recent, rather it's a prolonged episode! Anyways, we all know how Indian's (to be specific) are being tortured in Australia. Till now, there were cases of stabbing, injuries et all, but no life-loss, but during the recent days this phenomenon ( as I would like to call it) seems to have broken all barriers with its first victim! The aftermath, as we all see it, involves the two national police struggling over evidence and reports and the usual...the Governmental "talks"! But what the heck people, a life is lost and most importantly, a valued life!
Since we all know time began, migrations are an part of any nations existence. There are some countries in the world whose sole GDP depends on the population and quality of expatriates. I am able to confirm this because my dad is an NRI, but hey, whatever be the situation...it is the culture and mindset of any Indian to respect and honour the rules and regulations of any particular nation they go into. And is this the return we get for our simplicity?
I, being a student, can understand the pain n emotions attached with an opportunity to go abroad and study. I am not talking about settlement over there, as I am not personally in favour of that, but given the international platform of education, its really a life-time opportunity to go abroad and get skilled and exceptional exposure to a high level of education. From my childhood, I was taught that intellectuals all across the globe speak only a single language : talent and intelligence! But it seems this fact is really to good to be true! But it seems the age old classification of the globe into "certain" worlds still has a far-reaching influence on the minds of people. This is really sad. I mean we are talking about the modern age...where liberalization and most importantly globalization play an unnoticeable role of global integrity and economic development and this is how we repay others? Well...it may be an in-acceptable fact for others but this is true ( to the very core of the words) : Indians are to stay and rule!!!
I mean, be it the USA, the UK, the Middle East or any other part of the world, Indians are a part of their population...working population to be precise! The fact is that they gain from their knowledge and expertise. One can look into it in this manner as to the Gift of India to the World economy! But hey, its time man....time that if we are not treated with the respect we should be getting...its time we retaliate and claim it! I mean...comparing on the global scale...we are termed the Third World Country! But just give it a thought! Are we not socially superior to them? Are we not intellectually sane to not repeat with their counterparts in our nations....the way they do? All in all..can we say we are above them in all humane grounds?
But personally, I think we are at par! I believe the earth in a connected network wherein we humans can outgrow anything....provided we act in unison! I know this may sound a bit too "filmy" but hey, its my thinking and my blog and ours is a democratic nation! All I am trying to say is that we Indians have an ancestral quality to give and share and respect! Now this is a trait which is to be looked out for and valued....not tortured on racial basis! N F**K racism! This is the 21st century...and 2010! Isn't it time that we all looked out towards more ethical values...than to ponder over the lame ones that were solely formulated to manipulate the position of World Powers? It's High time!
Non-Indians reading this blog try to understand and rectify! Indians reading this blog...please try to comfort the anguished families with a little prayer! That's all that's needed!

I LOVE YOU MOM!
They say God couldn't be everywhere on this Earth, for everyone, at the very same moment. So, what's the solution? HE created MOTHERS (most commonly known as MOM in English, Maa in almost every language, and also other childish-peculiar names...but all outcomes of the most affectionate bondage on this Universe : Mother and Child LOVE).
Ever thought why "MAA" is common to almost each of the 180 languages and dialects in India, and thousands other throughout the entire world? A simple question, with a a very much anticipated answer - Because Mothers are universally the most divine being on Earth! But lets take it on a more analytical note. Don't you think each child being born on Earth and learning the same terminology is a bit too wild to call it a coincidence or an act of divinity? To be honest with you, I don't know the answer to this question. I also wouldn't completely rely on the vague answer of LOVE being the actual cause! I mean c'on this is a bit erratic to believe in this modern world. Any suggestions? Always Welcome!
Anyways...I not discussing the dialect factor here. But I am aiming at another much more simple, yet complex, factor: DO YOU LOVE YOUR MOM?
Let's admit to one simple thing first! The answer every would be giving to this question is : "What the F*CK dude? Of course I do! And what kind of a question is this? Very well. I am ready to take on all the accusations and other bad-verbal stuff ( I cannot go into this last detail :D). But for once, just give it a thought. When was the last time you offered to help your mom on your own? When was the last time you sat down to hear her grievances about the day's household? When was the last time you took a day off from your regular chat sessions with your friends just to be with your mom? When was the last time you hugged your mom? When was the last time you even told your mom about how much she meant to you in this whole world?
Well...there's this one element currently in circulation amongst us youngsters during recent times. Its the element of attitude. I mean, c'on man...its bloody understood that I love my mom the most! What's to say about that? Every body loves their mom. But just another simple question: What if this element comes into our mothers as well? They too start taking everything for granted and to be understood? What then?
Just go by the memory lane. On so-&-so day, you were born. You were brought into the arms of you mother. She hugged you, kissed you several hundred times. Even a tear rolling down her eye. To be honest, we all have experienced this, but at that moment, either we would have been crying or sleeping, too young and fragile to be understanding or even remembering that moment, which is the most precious moment of your mother's life. Cannot help it. It very biological for us to react in that way. Mom enjoyed that moment alone!
Take on a few years ahead. Your mom sees you walking on your wobbling little legs...trying to take the first steps of you life. She breaks down...either in the fear or seeing you hurt upon the fall or because of the uncontrollable amount or joy gushing through her heart. At that moment, we either would have been crying after the fall or we would have been giggling at mom. Too young to yet understand her feelings and emotions and share her joy. Its biological! Mom enjoyed yet another moment alone!
Lets move on. You get your first beating from mom. You cried...cried harder at the pain. We now know that it was much painful for mom at that moment. Both to be beating us as well as seeing us shed tears. That patch of semi-clotted blood under our cheeks, visible with a red mark from her eyes would definitely have clotted her own blood right in her heart. Its a moment not to be cherished, but still....mom suffered alone!
Now lets move to the recent years. We scored in our school exams well. Mom hugs us, we touch her feet...n then what, go out to celebrate with our friends. Again mom enjoys alone! We get admission in a reputed college....taking the first steps towards our professional establishment. We again touch her feet.....but this time...in haste! Why? for similar such reasons! Again Mom enjoys alone! We start spending quality time with our friends at college, arriving late at home. We come, freshen up, and then take up our daily work regime. This time, there's a change. Mom is alone for most of the time.
Well...its not that I am highlighting the negative aspect of our current generation, but we all do this in some way or the other and that too, sub-consciously. Its noticeable that right from our birth to our current years, mom has been ALONE! Either she enjoys alone, or she disgraces the moment alone. Funny isn't it?
Mothers are THE most supreme being. My dad always tell me that even if you go on an argument with me, countering my words and decisions, NEVER DO THAT WITH YOUR MOTHER! Now initially I thought it was an outcome of their Love-Marriage relation but with the years, I have realised the true meaning. You can despise GOD, BUT NOT YOUR MOTHER. Sole reason being she's the only person in the world ready to exchange lives for your sake. I mean this last line! During our early years, we couldn't understand her feelings and make it up to her. But what now? Do we not have that minimum sense about our duties towards her? Duties will be too formal word. But what I mean by this is that can't we share her love at this point of your lives? C'on guys...she's been alone for too long. And its time to give back rather than take!
How can we make it up to her mothers is a perception everybody has....and so I am not suggesting anything. All I am saying is that she won't be around for the rest of our lives. People usually have a bad habit about accrediting emotions after their time has lapsed. God forbid this happens to all of us. I am writing this because I feel doing something for my mother, even on the eve of my exam is a time not wasted, but time gained. Both time and love. Let's just say....I have realized...and I have started maKing up to her in my own ways! Through this...I just wanna say...Mom, I LOVE YOU! :)

Flirting, Flattering and Friendship - Qualities Across a Hairline!
"To be or not to be, that is the question". Lets alter this a bit : "To Flirt or to Flatter...That is the REAL Question"!
Whenever a girl meets a boy or vice-versa, the first and foremost thing one notices appreciably (which many refuse to admit for the sake of simplicity and respect) is the appearance! I mean c'on, everybody wants to talk an spend some quality time (not in any bad sense) with a good-looking opposite-sex species. Now after the names have been exchanged the conversation commences and the usual things crop up first. Something like I am so and so, where do you stay, what do you do, blah blah blah and so on. The two people in conversation are to some extent friendly now and the initial steps of a friendship gets carved out smoothly. Later on, meetings happen, followed by movies, hang outs, restaurants and so on. Both the parties have a fluctuating level of intimacy, which still requires a few more stuff to materialise.
Now arrives the interesting part: To flirt or to flatter? Lets admit a fact: everybody loves to flirt. I am not involving those people who are even shy to talk to girls or even those with ultra-high levels of social mannerisms and who simply do not believe in a pure friendship between opposite sexes. I mean, what's the harm in soft flirting? Or even a bit naughty flattering? This initially commences with say you have a cool hairstyle, you look good today, you have a lovely smile and all those 4th Grade stuff! This is to see whether the opponent is reacting in a positive or negative sense! Once the thing is seen, understood and commenced...now arrives the heavier dialogues: Sweetheart, you look quite sexy! Dear, lets hold hands...I mean we can do that in friendship right? Let's go out on a date...a friendly date ;) :D. Well...all these are really enjoyable and to some extent even worth it. I mean hey, if you are flirting or flattering with a friend, you always can flirt! What's the use of such a friendship where the two people are not even free to understand and communicate in that sense?? But actually...here lies the main catch, or to say...the main niche!
They are mainly two kinds of people....one's with a bad intention in everything and the other's just the opposite. Both groups exercise these jovial-cum-naughty modes of enjoyment but all that matters is their prime reason. There are guys and girls who change respective partners like morning dresses. There are also people who stick to one solely. I cannot comment on which group reigns because I have seen both in substantial numbers. However, this is not the matter of discussion The first group flirt with numerous charming and deceiving modes. Their aim...to hook up with the person...use...misuse...and then dump. I don't know why people call this dumping because hell, if you cannot identify the nature of the person, why say yes in the first place? And why blabber about being dumped later on? The element they employ is often termed flirting but people forget that they represent the darker side of that element. Flirting is not about deceiving and momentarily enjoying a person. It simply about appreciation in a good sense, represented with a slight pinch of naughtiness but with no bad intentions! Take for example the latter group people. They love to flirt. They too say naughty things, but they simply tease, not squeeze!
Well...but as per our verbal-daily vocabulary, they cannot be flirting! They are flattering! May I ask why??
Flattering is about saying something in order to raise that persons admiration with a slight sarcasm in mind! Flirting is pure!( I know this last line may be a bit negotiable but hey, this is my blog!) Flirting refers to appreciating the persons qualities in a naughty way. And believe me on this one, people who are good at heart, they never have any bad intentions in mind, its a personal experience!!! (:D) This is where the smooth blend of friendship, naughtiness and sexuality comes to light! See, they are all intertwined! I mean if you are very good friends with an opposite-sex member, why the hell not flirt? And if the other is flirting, why the hell threat with a crack in friendship?
However, leaving friendship aside, lets come to flirting and flattering. It's high time we realise the use of these words. If you are flirting, say it with dignity. I mean it! Why the hell be ashamed? You are not doing anything wrong. Neither do you have any bad intentions. If you are flattering, then use the correct term! Never mix up these things. But hey, one thing: those with a dirty mind, better don't admit! This puts a bad name to other, sincere, simple, gentle and serene flirts who are everything but you! I am not highlighting the grammatical factor in this blog, but I am simply trying to place my view in the minds of those people who consider flirts to be the kin of untouchables! First, those practising untouchability and other related stuff in any social regime, GO TO HELL! Second, judge the person by nature, attitude and personality, not by their verbal playfulness. Everyone knows looks can be deceiving. But I want to add something: so can be verbal attributions. This is actually modern hypocrisy, but don't bring all these amidst friendship! Friendship is pure, so is Flirting!!
Okay, the reason why I am writing this is because I am a big time flirt. But hey, I know my limits and myself. I would rather die than cheat on a girl! But all I am saying is that Flirting is not bad, trust me! It can be as pure as true friendship, but there's only a hairline difference to the perception. It is not regarding social stigma, but of the intention with which it is done! Hope You Understand and Agree! [;)]

What's in a NAME??
Every one's quite well-versed with this famous quote by William Shakespeare, so I guess there's no need in highlighting the historical background of this verse. Well, getting straight to the point, at that time, this stood out to be a magnanimous hit amongst the theatre crowds. The audiences loved it, cherished it and most importantly used it. But down the ages....only the usage has been constant, irrespective of the fact that the meaning of usage has been distorted to the maximum.
"What's in a Name?". Very very true! We all know that to judge a person, we have to look deep into their personality, highlighting both their positivities as well as their negativities and then...after looking into their educational and professional traits, we must use our own conscience and logic to save a file in our minds regarding our views on that person. To be proper and dignified men and women, we must all do this. And it's also true, by the universal law of nature, that the world too performs the same procedure when it comes to us. But what the hell? I mean does anybody really have the time to go through all this? Bunk it man! Just, see who the dude's dad is? What's the family bank balance? What is his social status as per the governmental classification levels? Just a glance! Give him what he deserves!! Moral : "What's in a Name?" Guess what? Now, it is Everything!!!!
Well...lets start with heavier topics. Take, say, education. Well...the 45% reservations for the ...uuummm....(you know which group of people I am talking about), is a sarcasm to generality. I mean, we...being the common masses...have to literally...BOW...before them. They have reserved seats...reserved jobs....hell...one day, they may even have reserved, first class toilets in the universities!! The fact that even after getting lucrative score cards from the professors with the least input levels, they flunk in the examinations is of no bother. But they must replace other deserving students! Why? C'on man....they are t-h-e backward masses (even though they are now superior to us in all senses). Take, say, product brands. Buy a jeans from the footpath.....hardly Rs.100 (even that is an escalating price to be paid for). Buy a jeans with a branded belt-tag...from an AC Showroom....minimum Rs. 1500...starting rates! Simplicity, eh? Take, say, qualification degrees! A person with a simple MA in hand, but with exceptional qualities like communications, marketing or PR skills rejected at an interview (even after having impresses the officials). Why? Not a Name-Fame University degree! But an MBA, with poor skills as compared to the first applicant gets passed immediately! Why? Hell man...he's got an MBA! Who needs the MA? And what does it matter if the other skills are not even comparable? Leave it! A bit controversial, with the perceptional view-point...but logically and practically..a bit insane, isn't it?
Well, I guess I am running out of examples but I hope you get the point! The Name's the Game, baby! You got a bright name beside you, or backing you, the world's at your feet! You do not have so, sorry....don't even dream of success!
This is the hypocrisy of the modern society where a person is judged or manipulated by names and not by worth! I mean, just give it a thought! The names' that carry considerable weight these days too were once a kitten in a jungle! Have you ever wondered why they grew up to be surviving Tigers? The problem lies here!! No one actually bothers to think upon this aspect and react accordingly. Too much waste of time! But if thought for the long run, it is actually not a waste of time. The simple answer to their success profiles is that they fought for their own names!
The backward masses fought with the government for reservations, the company brands fought with their business tactics for market dominance, the universities fought amongst themselves by promoting quality education and tough curriculum's, and so on goes the list! Basic is that if you want a piece of fame added to your name, you have to strive to carve out that little, initial niche! People back out at the first step because they think that the achievement is not so profitable. It is not so initially. But later one, the niche deepens...automatically and then begins the stride towards glory!
All in all....Shakespeare was right! "What's in a Name?". It is we who are wrong. We took it to be a metaphor, but it was actually an irony : "What's in a Name? Everything!"
"What's in a Name?". Very very true!

Friendship and Love...So Pure...Yet Bizzare!!
When you meet a person (I am considering the case of a female being) and initiate a bit of likeness regarding her, we opt for a relationship called "Friendship". The process commences with casual hi's and hello's and finally progesses to conversations, laughter, sarcasm, envy, happiness, joy, faith and all such other elements possible. The joy of to beings sharing and mingling freely with each other, cementing a platform of trust and faith, upon which either slowly or swiftly, the relation solidifies into a steady one. Next follows regular outings, either in groups or pairs - simple hangouts, movies, coffee, meetings. All in all, the bond between two people strengthens with all thes elements acting as either the catalyst or as a product of the entire social-biochemical equations.
But here arises my doubt. How does one define LOVE in friendship? It is the care you have for your friend? Is it simply a formality which is understood but never uttered? Or is it something different than those between couples? (The last one is definitely true...but to some extent, upon which I will come later).
Yes, I love my friend very very much. I also a aware that my friend loves me too. Then why are we always hesitant in saying the three magical word to our female-friends, even though we know that its simply pure friendship? Maybe, it is because the terminology "LOVE" is over-rated these days. This is my perception! We love our parents, relatives, friends, our soulmate. Practically, we "love" all these people. It just the extent of comfort and freedom we share with these people that brings about the difference.
Well, I believe in love-relationships among friends ( the lovers love one). I mean why not? Being a friend simply adds advantages to the possibility of a proposal being accepted or to become successful. You know each other from head to toe ( the personality part, no other meaning ;) ). Your families know and like each other. The only thing that is left to be tackled is the introduction of families. That is a long way down the road, the prima facia still remains whether friends can turn lovers or not.
Perception varies, and so does the attitude towards this topic. But still, no one can actually clear this cloud. The question remains unanswered, however tons of suggestions, possibilities and stuff like that crops up evry time. I mean, say you propose a girl with whom the relationship of friendship has been quite long, isnt it funny that all of a sudden, those three words become so influential upon those years of friendship? Its actually not funny, its shocking!! I mean, come'on! You propose only when you have some damn real feeling above friendship. Even before proposing, the fear of the friendship being lost too manipulates this decision and often acts as a counterpart to the elimination rounds in various examinations! So ultimately, if a friend receives a proposal, its has to be genuine!! Otherwise, either the friendship was brittle, or that person is really an asshole ( well, couldn't find a better word)!
Love means trust, respect and adjustments! These three automatically gets fulfilled is the proposal is from an old friend. Of course, the elements of a faint sexual attraction, looks and capabilites remain unaltered, but I will not discuss those as I know any dumbo, ugly guy would think about a million times before even asking a decent looking girl for friendship, let alone proposal! But of course, there's a crap statement saying : "Look's doesn't matter". Oh man! How lovely such an excuse it is to not to hurt a persons emotions after rejecting his love! But hey, deep down, we all know the basics!
Well, the purpose of me spending an evening to write all this on the eve of my examination is not so relevant, but this thought always has bothered me. Of course, a girl and a boy can definitely become friends, or best friends! That's the concept of modern opposite sex society. But can a love relationship among such persons can never really come into existence? I am baffled at some of the cases I get to see around me. So, guys, need some urgent suggestions. And if you have read it, its my personal urfe to you guys that at least think about it if you are one of those you-are-only-my-friend-cannot-become-my-boyfriend types, then at least give it a thought!

Childhood Days!
Sometimes, things happen or rather incidents occus in our daily life that constanly resemble our childhood actions. The result is a sole feeling : missing the childhood childishness. This is what i felt on my 17th birthday :
Striding down the memory lane,
Journeying deep into my mind’s veins,
Only to realize the fact
That I have ,in all, one year of childhood left- to be exact.
Partly delighted, partly appalled,
I continued to gaze at the star lit sky,
And thinking about my innocent past,
I broke into a smile.
Those days of immense notoriety,
Those days of spotless serenity,
That feeling of being free from any anxiety,
That feeling of being secured from any adversity,
Those were the days of my life,
When I enjoyed while others helped me survive.
I used to curse my small height,
Wishing I could grow tall soon.
I used to grumble upon my ignorance,
Like a total fool.
I used to stare at the long sleek boots,
Thinking when would I be able to wear them,
But now, at the dawn of my adulthood,
I just pray if I could go back,
If I could just enjoy one more hour of play,
If I could just experience one more day of my childhood.
So here I am.
On the climax of adolescence, I am standing
Partly elated, partly repenting,
To the thought that I have just one more year of childhood left and still counting!

ROAD
(Let's just say...this is what I see, what I feel, while travelling on a Road)
Some consider it a mere asphalt bed,
For others…it’s a lifeless platform of steel, concrete n lead,
To me, though, it’s a support stage,
A firm path upon which we tread….
An endless spiral, with myriad loops and twirls,
A shiny serpent during the day which at night, shines like a black pearl...
For some, it’s a mere trail to traverse and travel,
Others consider it a filthy path, a dull continuity of gravel,
But for me…it’s a destiny-bridge, that has loads to unravel,
Be it a journey, or a hike….like life, its hurdles strips us to reality navel.
With every milestone, novelty meets the eye,
With every yard…nature appears different, the sky sporting a different dye,
With each piece of rock, as you move on, saying bye…
Let’s just say that imagination grows, to be true…without a lie.
To me, a road is a path for sure,
A magnanimous gravel snake, on which we learn to, in our life, endure.
To me, it’s a bridge on ground…
That links places, people and cultures newly found.
To me, it’s like an asphalt stream,
Flowing endlessly amongst concrete and natural jungles, with a steady seam…
To me, it’s like journey with a friend,
Guiding and leading, helping me to, my gaps, mend.
It’s always the way you visualize and see,
A road maybe a lifeless blend and some just let it be…
But the sparkle adds when you tend to think,
Imagination and acceptance, that’s what makes life blink,
So all in all, this is the view of my eye,
For me, a road mends gaps…serves as an ally…
It lives in its own way… and to be true, without a lie,
It’s only for you to accept and visualize.

The Exam Aftermath
The aftermath of an exam – be it a semester or even a simple test, is a very dilemmatic situation for any student. Yes it feels free, but excessively free; yes it feels just lovely to be away from the books, but anything we do feels boring after a few moments! On the whole, our minds get relaxed, but the very next moment it jumps into the future, simply imagining to the wildest extents about the consequences surrounding the D-Day – the results declaration day. Quite a harmonic motion of the mind, isn’t it?
Some declare very early, some like to hide, some ignore while others act carefree, but hey, we all know that whatever it is we do…we simply can’t ignore its effects. I am not talking about the academic consequences, but am trying to highlight the effects on our actions, our minds…most importantly, our persona.
It always is a very ‘oath-taking’ period. The day the exams get over, our soul takes over…sadly but thankfully, for that day only, because the very next day, we simply enjoy our times doing the things we used to. Sad, but hey…after all, bad habits are tough to change, especially when they feel so great!
Funny it is when the things you do while relaxing reminds you of the things that have happened in the exam hall. A simple miscalculation at local shops tempts you to think whether those done in the papers were correct or not. Awful dreams simply spoil the day, constantly bugging your mind with varied thoughts, and believe me; those thoughts really are very funny when one thinks quite logically. Again, there are people who simply shrug off these things, with a smile. I applaud them, but like I said, you can’t ignore the entire thing, just because it’s gone!
Well, to be honest, am writing this post simply because I am experiencing this myself right now. At places I may exaggerate, but what the hell, this is my post and my thoughts, so I guess you can understand that I like the freedom! For me, marks can never outline a student! Its just a momentary appreciation. So for me, the stupid questions – “Hey man, how did you get so much in so-and-so subject?” or “How do you study to get marks?” are not only meaningless, but in a way, irritating.
Signing off, all I can say is that I kind of enjoy the exam-aftermath. Not because I’m confused or something, but because its really very entertaining when reminded at latter stages. So guys don’t waste it by lazing it off, utilize it to enjoy like nothing else! As a student, I myself can say only this much! What say, am I right or wrong?
